ANSYS CFD using ANSYS CFX
If you are looking for the most efficient way to get started using ANSYS
CFX and ANSYS DesignModeler and have the basic understanding of Fluid
Mechanics this is the course for you.
The lectures will cover all basic modeling capabilities on an introductory level
and give you the overview that is needed to find the building blocks for setting
up any simulation. In between the talks you will be given the opportunity to
work with several tutorials to get practical experience in different areas. We
also encourage you to bring your own geometries or cases so we can help you get
started with your own application.
The course can be split if you only are interested in one or two of the different
tools: ANSYS DesignModeler (Geometry and CAD Clean up), ANSYS Meshing Platform
(meshing) and ANSYS CFX/CFD Post (solver and visualization).
The following topics are discussed in the full course:
- The CFD process
- Introduction to the ANSYS Workbench environment
- Overview of ANSYS DesignModeler and ANSYS CFX
- File management and CAD import
- Geometry creation and topology theory
- Meshing with ANSYS Meshing Platform
- Boundary conditions and material properties
- Solver control
- Convergence and accuracy
- Transient flows
- Adaption
- Post processing with ANSYS CFD Post
- Modeling heat transfer
- Modeling turbulence
- Modeling reacting flows
- Multiphase modeling
- Modeling with moving zones
