Success of First ‘International Oil And Gas CFD Conference’ (IOCC) Confirms Growing Importance of CFD Technology
The first International Oil and Gas CFD Conference (IOCC) has confirmed the increasing importance the Oil and Gas Industry is placing on CFD and other CAE technologies. The event surpassed all expectations with 130 delegates attending the conference, held on 30th November – 1st December in London. Plans are already being made for an even bigger IOCC in two year’s time.

The IOCC is unique. It brings together the Oil & Gas Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) Community across Europe, the Middle East and North American and Asian practitioners also, to one central location. The focal points of the conference are leading edge applied CFD presentations and best practice sessions. Africa’S First 'America'S Cup' Yacht Race Team Signs Deal To Use Fluent’S World-Leading Cfd Software, After Benchmarking Tests
Africa's first ever team to enter the ‘America's Cup' yacht racing series has signed a two-year deal with Fluent to use its world-leading CFD software. Fluent has partnered with each of the past three winners of the world's most high-tech yacht racing contest and will now attempt to make history by helping Team Shosholoza, based in Cape Town, South Africa claim an unlikely victory in 2007.

Benchmark Tests to Clinch New CFD Deal
WilliamsF1, a leading Formula 1 team has signed a new deal with Fluent Europe Ltd. to use its world-leading CFD software and services after Fluent won a series of rigorous benchmarking tests. Running from 2005, the agreement will see WilliamsF1 work exclusively with Fluent for an initial three-year period, with an agreement for a further 2 years, assuming Fluent continues to maintain its position as the most advanced CFD software in the world.
