HR Manager – UK, Sweden and Belgium

Based in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, United Kingdom

ANSYS design, develop, market and globally support engineering simulation solutions used to predict how product designs will behave in manufacturing and real-world environments. Currently employing 1400 employees worldwide, Ansys are set to expand further and are recognised as a global leader within their field.

Due to a recent restructure within their global HR function, Ansys now require a permanent, full time, UK HR Manager to provide an effective operational and strategic HR service to the UK, Sweden and Belgium.

Reporting into the Vice President for HR, based in the US, you will be an active member of the Corporate HR Management team and the local management teams for the UK, Sweden and Belgium, ensuring that global HR strategy  is implemented in your region and providing advice and support to circa 160 employees.

We are seeking a strong HR generalist who can operate effectively in a stand alone capacity and is able to apply cultural sensitivity when dealing with the differing employment law needs of different countries (some European HR exposure would be advantageous).  Ideally, you will have had previous experience of TUPE transfers, closures, acquisitions and re-organisations.

The successful incumbent will need to deliver a comprehensive interpretation of the new policies and procedures and will drive recruitment strategy to ensure the recruitment and retention of calibre individuals, a positive employee relations climate and on-going development in the form of job evaluation, reward and recognition and performance management programmes.

A candidate from a similar sector with experience of similar industry challenges would be of extreme interest. This role is most likely to suit a HR Manager looking to expand their experience in a global organisation undergoing significant change in a position which may lead to greater European responsibility in the future.

N.B Travel to Europe and USA is limited, anticipated no more than 6 trips a year in total.
