	FLUENT Introductory Training Course

The length of the course is two days.

Training is from 9.00am to 5.00pm on each day.

Lunch and refreshments will be provided.

Prerequisites

The course assumes you have prior experience of working with GAMBIT (mesh generation software).

Learning Objectives

Processing:

For a given software you should be able to:

select appropriate physical models,

define material properties,

prescribe boundary and operating conditions,

set solver controls,

set up solution convergence monitors.

provide an initial solution,

Postprocessing:

display and examine results.

Course Agenda

All topics are covered using a combination of lectures and hands-on sessions.

Day 1: Overview of the FLUENT CFD software Lectures:

Overview of FLUENT CFD Software Capabilities,

CFD Analysis - Basic Steps,

Boundary Conditions,

Modelling Turbulent Flows.

Hands-On:

Trainees are able to choose from a variety of prepared hands-on examples.

Day 2: Workshop Day Lectures:

Setting Solution Parameters, Initialising Solution,

Setting up Solution Monitors,

Heat Transfer and Thermal Boundary Conditions.

Workshop:

Trainees have the opportunity of working on their own modelling problems with the help of Fluent Benelux's engineers. This session is an important part of the course. Please bring with you as much information as possible about your application, or send us details along with your registration form.
