A key component for successful modeling Gas Turbine Combustors is accurate charaterizing of the liquid sprays. To accomplish this, incorporated into FLUENT are primary atomization models for Pressure Swirl Atomizer, Air-Blast Atomizer, Plain Orifice, and Effervescent Atomizer, which provide a precise initial droplet distribution. Once in the flowfield the droplets can then collide, coalesce and break-up using secondary atomization models. |
