Aeration Tanks

Flow modeling with Fluent's computational fluid dynamics (CFD) software helps you tackle your environmental flow problems in the most efficient and cost-effective way. In water treatment aeration is used to remove organic molecules by pushing them to the surface of the water. Two impellers are used in this aeration system. The lower impeller pumps the air liquid mixture radially outward. The upper impeller is a high-efficiency type and pumps fluid axially. It pumps large volumes of liquid downward, shearing the air into fine bubbles as it leaves the sparge ring. The air liquid mixture is carried downward and outward across the basin floor and then up to the surface. This extends bubble retention time and maximizes oxygen transfer efficiency.
