General | Security | Pricing

General

  1. How do I sign up for an RLicense Service account?

Please contact your Fluent Sales Representative for information on how to set up an RLicense Service account. Your Sales Representative can help you determine tokens and pricing for the duration of your Fluent RLicense contract.

Once you have placed your order, you, and any other users you designate, will receive a unique authorization code. By logging in with your unique authorization code, you will have direct access to the Fluent Remote Licensing Facility (RLF) and the RLicense Service where you are able to choose machines, duration, and products to generate short-term RLicenses.

  2. What is a token?

A token is a weighted count value assigned to each product available via the RLicense Service. Users purchase an amount of tokens, which can be combined in any fashion to create the RLicense configuration needed.

  3. What Fluent products are available to license via the RLicense Service?

You may currently purchase a Fluent RLicense contract for the following products: FLUENT, FIDAP, POLYFLOW, GAMBIT, TGrid, and parallel licensing. Please contact your Sales Representative who can quote specific configurations for you.

  4. Is there a minimum/maximum duration for the RLicenses I generate?

The Fluent RLicense Service has been designed to provide the greatest amount of flexibility available. You can choose to generate an RLicense for any product from a period as little as one day to a period of 12 months, including any period in between.

  5. Can I request an RLicense that has a future start date?

Yes, you can choose any date in the future for your start date, as long as the start and end dates are within your contractual period. You will still receive and you can install the RLicense when you generate it. However, the processes will not be activated until the specified start date.

  6. Is there a waiting period before I can generate an RLicense?

As soon as you receive your authorization code you can begin to generate RLicenses.

  7. How do I receive the RLicense I've generated?

Once you've completed your RLicense order, you will receive your RLicense via e-mail in a matter of minutes. Please note that the RLicense will be contained in the e-mail message as an attachment, along with an attachment with instructions on how to install the Fluent RLicense file.

  8. How easy is it to add users?

Additional users can be added at any time. Please contact your Support Office for details.

  9. Does it cost extra to add users?

No, it does not cost extra to add users. Usage is based on the products' token values and not by the number of users who have access to the Fluent RLicense Service.

  10. How do I receive software and/or license support for licenses generated via the RLicense Service?

Access to Fluent's standard support services, as outlined in the Fluent Inc. Software License Agreement apply. For additional information on our support services, please visit our Technical Support page.
