Here you can access information about FLUENT’s original benchmark suite and FLUENT’s new benchmark suite. Both benchmark suites provide FLUENT performance data on current, older and prototype releases using sets of benchmark problems selected to represent typical usage and covering a range of mesh sizes and physical models available in FLUENT. The new benchmark suite contains updated benchmark cases that cover even larger mesh sizes and some of the more recent FLUENT developments. Overall, the benchmark cases range in size from a few 100 thousand cells to more than 100 million cells. The new suite contains pressure-based (segregated and coupled) and density-based implicit solver cases, as well as hexahedral, mixed and polyhedral cell cases. This benchmark suite is expected to demonstrate the breadth of FLUENT performance on a variety of hardware platforms.
These cases make up the benchmark suites that hardware vendors use to benchmark their hardware systems, and for which performance data is posted on these pages. Further description of the benchmark problems is provided on the benchmark pages for each suite.
Note that the posted prototype versions are not tested and validated by ANSYS, Inc. Such extensions may become part of future FLUENT releases, but there is no guarantee.
