FlowLab: Student-Friendly Flow Modeling
FlowLab is a unique piece of educational software that uses the power of flow visualization through CFD to teach basic fluid mechanics principles in the engineering classroom. The software runs Fluent's general purpose CFD code, FLUENT, and preprocessor, GAMBIT, in the background, with a user-friendly, student-specific graphical user interface (GUI) on its front end. Based on ready-to-use exercises, FlowLab eliminates the longer learning curve associated with general fluid flow modeling software products, making it easy to deploy as part of the undergraduate or masters-level curriculum.

FlowLab is a computational fluid dynamics (CFD) software package designed to help teach fluid mechanics and transport phenomena. FlowLab provides access to the majority of features and functionality available with the FLUENT 6 solver.
Exercises
A FlowLab software license includes free access to our ready-to-use exercises that consist of a parameterized CFD problem and a notes pdf which provides detailed instructions on the exercise. Along with the standard exercise suite, license holders can download additional exercises that have been developed through Fluent's collaborative programs. You can also customize FlowLab and create your own exercises with guidance from our training materials and flow modeling experts.
