"It was only a scant six months ago that we looked at the first release of Fluent's FloWizard application. Fluent is a traditional specialist in Fluid Flow and Heat Transfer simulation or to put it another way, a master of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD). Last year, the company released the first version of FloWizard which saw Fluent make its first foray into the world of mainstream simulation, aimed at designers and engineers with little knowledge of fluid dynamics, rather than PHD educated CFD experts (which its high-end tools, undoubtedly are). This month, the company is in the final stages of preparing the next FloWizard release, so I visited the company's Sheffield headquarters to find out what's new."

"Computational fluid dynamics (CFD) has traditionally been a very specialized task that could only be usefully exploited by experienced fluid dynamicists. The problem with this was the process was usually applied late in the design schedule when it was too advanced to make major changes. However, FLUENT attempted to change all this with the launch of its FloWizard".
