1999 Conferences Include Over 1000 Users

The 1999 Fluent Users' Group Meeting season is underway, with meetings held in the US during May and upcoming venues in Europe and Asia during September and October. Bringing together over 1000 users of Fluent software, and including more than 150 presentations by users, these conferences are the ideal forum for CFD analysts to experience and discuss state-of-the-art applied CFD.

User conferences in the US got off to a strong start in February, with the first ever Icepak Users' Group Meeting held in Palo Alto, CA. Next, our second annual meeting for automotive industry users was held in the Detroit area during May. These industry-specific meetings facilitated a very focused exchange of technical information and application strategies, while also providing the chance for many users in local industry to attend. Nearly 200 users attended the cross-industry US Users' Group Meeting in Danvers, Massachusetts in late May. As in previous meetings, a wide array of training sessions, short courses, and workshops allowed attendees to take home technical benefits, and over 30 presentations by users showed how CFD has become a vital tool in US industry.
