In January, Dr. Dennis Nagy joined Fluent as Vice President, Marketing and New Business Development. Dr. Nagy will have responsibility for the implementation of new business initiatives and marketing strategy, with special focus on international operations in the Asia-Pacific region.
Dr. Dennis Nagy, V.P. Marketing and New Business DevelopmentDr. Nagy comes to Fluent with over 20 years experience in the computer-aided engineering (CAE) software industry, most recently as Senior Vice President with the MacNeal-Schwendler Corporation (MSC), developer of the well-known structural analysis software, MSC-NASTRAN. During 12 years with MSC, Dr. Nagy was responsible for worldwide sales and support and was the driving force behind the company's international expansion. Prior to joining MSC, Dr. Nagy served as a manager of CAE at GE Medical Systems and managed the German office of SDRC, a leading CAD/CAE software vendor. Prior to his career in management, he was a research engineer at the University of Stuttgart, Germany, and an assistant professor at Princeton University. He obtained his Ph.D. in engineering from the University of California at Berkeley In late 1997, we completed a significant expansion of Fluent corporate headquarters in Lebanon, New Hampshire. The addition of the new wing nearly doubles our square footage from 22,000 to 42,000 and adds 55 new offices, ready to accommodate the new employees associated with our ongoing growth. Additional hires are helping to build our offices in Ann Arbor, Michigan; Santa Clara, California; Media, Pennsylvania; and Evanston, Illinois. Additional training facilities, doubling our training capacity, are located in the new wing. Breakout rooms have been added to handle concurrent training topics. New NT workstations give users the choice of training in either an NT or a UNIX environment
