Fluent Europe is a participating member of The European Research Community on Flow, Turbulence and Combustion (ERCOFTAC). The ERCOFTAC SIG (Special Interest Group) on Quality and Trust in Industrial CFD has produced a document titled Best Practices Guidelines. This document is intended to give best practice advice for achieving high-quality industrial CFD simulations. The guidelines are fairly generic and address single phase, compressible or incompressible, steady or unsteady, turbulent or laminar flow, with or without heat transfer. The advice is aimed primarily at less experienced CFD users, but will be helpful for experienced users who are shifting to a new application area. The document includes a comprehensive summary that will be useful for managers of scientific and engineering projects that make use of CFD.
