On May 5th 2000, Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II of England, visited Birmingham University on the occasion of its 100th Anniversary. She chose to visit the Chemical Engineering School to see the cutting edge food engineering work of Professor Peter Fryer’s research group. She studied the Cadbury’s chocolate mold modeling, which used Fluent’s FIDAP CFD code. This was reported in the Fall 1999 Fluent News. It is not known if she was amused, but it certainly is a Royal first for a CFD company!
